Terms and Conditions for Independent Travel

RESERVATIONS & PAYMENTS
Deposit:
City & Independent Tour packages/Customized itinerary: from $250/person (subject to services booked).
All other items: Full payment
Final payment: 60 days prior to departure. Failure to receive final payment by due date may result in automatic cancellation and loss of deposit.
Handling fees: The following options are subject to non-refundable handling fees:
Day excursions: $25/order
City & Independent Tour packages: $15/order
Hotel reservations: $10/hotel
Hotel Pass Programs: City Cards, City Tours: $15/item/order
Train tickets, Rail Passes: $15 per item/order
Form of payment: Checks, Money Orders, VISA and MasterCard
Late booking fee: A $25 late booking fee may apply to requests received within 45 days prior to departure.

CONDITIONS
Deposits received for a service/package offered by Brekke Tours indicates acceptance and acknowledgment of cancellations fees and other conditions outlined.
Customized itinerary: The customized itinerary outlined by Brekke Tours is based on requests presented by the client with suggestions by Brekke Tours. Should the client prefer modes of transportation, time schedules, and/or hotel properties other than those presented, it is the responsibility of the client to inquire and request such information from the Brekke Tour agent prior to itinerary confirmation.

CANCELLATIONS
All cancellations must be received in writing. The following per person cancellation fees will apply:
Customized itinerary & City & Independent Tour Package: More than 60 days prior to departure: $100/person
60 - 45 days prior to departure: 50% or $250/person, whichever is more
44 - 15 days prior to departure: 75% or $500/person, whichever is more
Less than 15 days prior to departure: Non-refundable
Cancellation fees assessed by air, cruise and/or land supplier(s) may also apply.
Day excursions: 25% per person (only on wholly unused tickets). There is also a $25 handling fee to process cancellation request.
Hotel Passes, City cards, City Tours: Nonrefundable
Rail Passes, Train tickets: Non-refundable
Hotels: Minimum cancellation fee of 25% per person per hotel. Upon cancellation, hotel refunds are subject to policy of requested hotel. Cancellations must be received by Brekke Tours at least 72 hours prior to U.S. departure during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays) to avoid a minimum charge of 1 night stay. Booking/Handling/Shipping fees: Non-refundable.

CHANGES
All requests for itinerary changes must be received in writing. Upon confirmation of said itinerary each subsequent change will be subject to the following change fees, only if we can accept the change: More than 60 days prior to departure: $25 per person; 60-45 day prior to departure: $50 per person; 44 -15 days prior to departure: $100 per person; Less than 15 days prior to departure or once travel has commenced: $200 per person. Cancellation and/or change fees assessed by air, cruise and/or land supplier(s) may also apply.

DOCUMENTS
Travel documents: It is essential that Brekke Tours be advised of your departure date at time of booking. Travel documents will be forwarded to you approximately two weeks prior to departure. For reservations/confirmations less than 45 days prior to departure, it may be necessary to pick up your travel documents in Scandinavia.
Passport: Each passenger must be in possession of a valid passport with a validity of at least six (6) months beyond the conclusion of his/her trip. Visa: A visa is not required for Scandinavia or Western Europe, but is required for travel to Russia.

HOTELS
Double accommodations based on two persons sharing twin-bedded rooms are only sold to persons traveling together. A limited number of single rooms are available at a supplemental cost. All rooms are assigned by the hotel management upon your arrival. Brekke Tours reserves the right to substitute hotels with others of equal or better quality.

LAND COSTS
All rates are subject to availability at the properties outlined in our proposal. The price is based on exchange rate in effect at the time of publication and is subject to increase in the event of currency fluctuation.

MEALS
Full breakfasts are generally included at hotels. Lunches and/or dinners are included only when specified on the itinerary. Beverages are not included.

INSURANCE
The client is urged to protect his/her investment with travel insurance. Please request insurance brochure if you have not already received one or visit our website –
www.brekketours.com.

SCHEDULE CHANGES
Brekke Tours cannot be held responsible for schedule changes with local transportation. Therefore, it is recommended that clients reconfirm times locally.

SERVICE INQUIRY and UNUSED SERVICES
No refund will be made for unused services once travel arrangements have commenced. If after returning, you wish to inquire about any travel arrangements provided, please ensure that all correspondence relating to those services is received by Brekke Tours within 60 days of the travel completion date.

NOT INCLUDED
1. Personal expenses such as laundry, liquors, wines, mineral waters, phone, valet, etc.; 2. Meals not specifically listed as included, as well as any expenses for a la carte meal items not included in preplanned menus; 3. Expenses due to flight delays, strikes, bad weather or other irregularities; 4. Excess baggage charges; 5. Travel Insurance. 6. Refunds for services not utilized; 7. Guide services, unless otherwise stated in itinerary; 8. Gratuities; 9. Airport/hotel transfers, unless otherwise stated in itinerary; 10. Passport and/or visa fees.

RESPONSIBILITY
Brekke Tours, its agents, employees, representatives, associated companies and travel agencies through which the services were booked, are not responsible for any damages, accidents, losses, detention, annoyance, consequential damages of any kind; delays, and expenses due to same; strikes, force majeure, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled; disturbances, government actions, restrictions or regulations, discontinuance or change in transit or hotel services or schedules; and any other causes over which we have no control and which are not caused by any negligence, wrongful action or omission on the part of Brekke Tours, its agents, employees, representatives, associated companies and travel agencies.

Without limiting the above, you are hereby given notice, and you hereby understand and agree that all tickets and coupons issued, and all arrangements for transport of conveyance, or for hotel accommodations, and any other arrangements provided herein, are made only on the expressed condition that Brekke Tours, etc. shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, expense, accident, delay, problem or irregularity which may be occasioned whether by reason of any defect in any vehicle or aircraft or other means of conveyance, or through the acts, omissions or defaults of any company or person engaged in conveying the passengers herewith, or of any hotel proprietor or servant, or any other person, firm or entity, not under the direct supervision, control or employment of Brekke Tours, its agents, employees, representatives, associated companies and travel agencies. Brekke Tours reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a client, and to make changes in the itinerary, whenever in the sole discretion of Brekke Tours, it deems it necessary for the convenience or safety of the client.
