2009 Ultimate Fjord Adventure

Day 1 - OSLO-ÅNDALSNES-GEIRANGER
Depart Oslo by train at 8:07am on a spectacular journey through the Gudbrandsdal and Romsdal valleys via Dombås to Åndalsnes. Arrival 1:32pm. Time on own. At 5:30pm travel by bus on the “Golden Route” climbing Trollstigen Canyon Road with its steep and narrow hairpin bends, and descending the Eagle Road to the famous village of Geiranger. Arrival 8:20pm. Overnight at Geiranger Hotel.

Day 2 - GEIRANGER-SKEI
Breakfast at hotel. Morning at leisure. At 12:30pm enjoy the Bridal Veil and Seven Sisters waterfalls on a Geirangerfjord cruise from Geiranger to Hellesylt. Arrival 1:35pm. At 1:55pm continue by bus to Skei. Arrival 5:05pm. Dinner and overnight at Skei Hotel.

Day 3 - SKEI-FJÆRLAND-BALESTRAND
Breakfast at hotel. Morning free to enjoy Lake Jølster and visit Audhild Viken’s Weaving Workshop. At 1:20pm travel by bus to Fjærland. Arrival 1:45pm. Time free for a visit to the Norwegian Glacier Center. (If you prefer a departure from Skei at 10:20am, arriving in Fjærland at 10:45am, not available on Sat. or Sun., specify upon registration.) At 3:40pm cruise the magnificent Fjærlandsfjord to Balestrand. Arrival 4:55pm. Dinner and overnight at the charming Kvikne’s Hotel.

Day 4 - BALESTRAND-FLÅM-BERGEN or OSLO
Breakfast at hotel. Morning at leisure. At 11:50am depart by express boat to Flåm. Enjoy the natural beauty of the Sognefjord, the world’s longest and deepest fjord, and the Aurland Fjord on this fabulous fjord cruise. Arrive in Flåm at 1:25pm.

Bergen passengers: At 2:50pm board the Flåm Railway. Within 13 miles ascend 2800 ft. to Myrdal. Change to the famous Oslo/Bergen Railway. Continue by train to Bergen. Arrival 5:52pm. Overnight at Strand Hotel.

Oslo passengers: At 4:05pm board the Flåm Railway. Within 13 miles ascend 2800 ft. to Myrdal. Change to the famous Oslo/Bergen Railway. Continue by train to Oslo. Arrival 10:32pm. Overnight at Thon Hotel Opera.

Day 5 - BERGEN or OSLO
Package ends following breakfast in Bergen or Oslo.
