2009 Spectacular Fjord Adventure

4-day unescorted package OSLO-FLÅM-BALESTRAND-BERGEN

Day 1 - OSLO-FLÅM
Depart Oslo at 10:33am on the Oslo/Bergen Railway to Myrdal, arriving at 3:51pm. At 3:59pm depart on the Flåm Railway, deemed by some as the most fantastic train ride in Europe. Descend the Flåm Valley, dropping 2800 feet within 13 miles to the fjord community of Flåm, situated along the beautiful Aurland Fjord. Arrival 4:55pm. (If you prefer an earlier departure from Oslo at 8:11am with arrival in Flåm at 2:25pm, please specify upon registration.) Dinner and overnight at Fretheim Hotel.

Day 2 - FLÅM—BALESTRAND
Breakfast at hotel. At 9:00am board the ferry for a cruise on the dramatic Aurland and Nærøy Fjords. Arrive in Gudvangen at 11:00am. At 11:34am return by bus to Flåm. Arrival 12:05pm. Pick up luggage at hotel. At 3:35pm board the Flåm Express boat to Balestrand. Arrival 4:55pm. Dinner and overnight at the charming Kvikne’s Hotel.

Day 3 - BALESTRAND-BERGEN
Breakfast at hotel. At 7:55am depart Balestrand on the Sognefjord Express boat to Bergen. Arrival 11:40am. (Note: Sunday departures leave at 4:55pm, arriving in Bergen at 8:40pm. Also available Monday-Saturday; please request upon registration.) Overnight at Strand Hotel Bergen.

Day 4 - BERGEN
Package ends following breakfast.
