Rail passes are not refundable or replaceable if lost or stolen. Therefore, protect your rail pass with the Railnet SafeGuard Plan, available for $10-20 per pass (depending on pass selected). The plan must be purchased when purchasing the associated pass; the fee is non-refundable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable. In the event that a “protected” rail pass is stolen or lost, this plan will either refund the unused portion of the pass or the cost of your replacement ticket(s)/pass, whichever is lower. To qualify for reimbursement, file a police report locally, purchase a replacement rail pass or rail ticket(s) in Europe and complete your rail travel. Detailed procedures and conditions for obtaining reimbursement are listed in a flyer accompanying the pass.
